MIA
So, what have I been up to the last two months? Let me see if I can catch you up to speed. With my memory this will probably be a very short post -either that or I'll leave out a bunch of stuff. Here's what I remember:
- Joined Weight Watchers (again)
- I helped run a day retreat that was very successful.
- My sister, Florence got sick and was in the ICU. (She's better now, thank God.)
- Visited our friends Jane & Al in their new home in Connecticut (with Charlie)
- I've been trying to do my Spring Cleaning.
- My laptop crashed and I lost a whole lot of stuff. I was without it for nearly two weeks! (Not sure how I survived.)
- My husband and my son & I laid down a new floor in our kitchen/dining room.
- EASTER!!!!!!!
Not a very exciting life, huh?

So good to read your posts again. Welcome back! Sounds like you have been busy. Too bad about your computer. I know what that is like. Mine crashed and burned about two years ago.
Good luck with Weight Watchers. I had good luck with it several years ago. It isn't easy, but then most things that are worthwhile usually aren't.
I did make it to Mass on Easter, but missed Palm Sunday. One of the kids was sick and I didn't have anyone else to watch her. I've been home for a couple of weeks now, but I'm going back to the city on Friday.
How is your sister that had the surgery? How is your daughter? Any excitement?
It's been cool and cloudy here today. Did you get any of that stormy weather that came thru the midwest yesterday? We got a little less than an inch out here on the farm, but most of the family that lives south of here toward St. Louis got a lot more.
My crocus are blooming, and the daffodils that are up on the south side of the house are just opening. Is spring coming your way yet? Have you ever been to D.C. to see the cherry blossums?
Hi Country! Thanks for welcoming me back. I find I can easily get wrapped up in other things and I lose my focus. Without my laptop I was so lost and getting reacquainted with WW took a lot of my time. Unfortunately I'm not doing as well as I was when I first started. Oh well...it's the story of my life. I don't think I will ever be a normal weight -I just have to learn to accept that and love myself anyway.
With all those grandchildren of yours its not surprising that one of them will be sick. It seems like it's been a difficult winter for all of you. I hope now that the weather is beginning to change you'll have less germs floating around. I'll pray for health and wellness for your family!
My sister is doing great. She has lost 47lbs. so far and she looks healthier already.
My daughter is coming home on Friday!!! Any excitement you ask? Well yes - check out my Vox video list and you'll see a video of her on youtube. She volunteered to get pepper-sprayed as part of her training. She's one tough cookie!
We've had our share of rain and yucky weather lately. Today the sun is shining brightly but it's very windy. We have "new life" poking its head out of the earth and that is always a sign of good things yet to come. Nope, never been to DC to see the cherry blossoms...I take it that's a big deal, something worth seeing? I'll have to look into that for the future.
Forgive me but I haven't read your blog in ages but I promise to make some time to do that ASAP. Oh, and I never did complete my one and only rag quilt. It's become one more item to my UFO list.
Gotta run to pick up my son -he has a doctors appointment after school today. I know it's late but Happy Easter!
